Meet Kristen
Kristen Johnson is an award-winning author and educator. She works as a psychology/sociology professor, multimedia designer, and retreat guide.
She has dual Masters degrees- a MSN in Nursing Education, and a Master of Science degree in Applied Positive Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Kristen has been a nurse for around a decade and has almost 15 years of experience working directly with patients in integrative health and wellness. She is always learning and consistently attends advanced trainings, certifications, and continuing medical, health, and wellness education. Kristen has studied the clinical application of meditation, mindfulness, biofeedback and breathwork extensively.
Her expertise has been featured in respected publications like WellSpa360, Skin Inc., Dermascope Magazine, and Beginnings Magazine through the AHNA. Kristen has also made notable appearances on The Beauty Biz Show and Sounds Like Spa Podcast.
After the debut of her first book, the Waterwell Integrative Wellness Guide + Planning Journal, Kristen opened the Waterwell Center for Well-being. Waterwell uses a blend of lifestyle medicine, positive psychological interventions, and engaging educational techniques to encourage human flourishing and flow. Waterwell offers organizational training, immersive retreats, and educational resources to small businesses, organizations, and educational institutions using strategies that are rooted in evidence-based research.
